Gears Of War 2 Rocks

Yay , finally got down to watching the Gears Of War 2 Vids and i must say that it is looking absolutely amazing , plenty of new features  that i saw in the vids .

First the new weapons are looking interesting ,i could not see exactly what was the names of the weapons but it seems there is a new pistol and a new rifle .The pistol brings a new move in where you are able to take a enemy hostage and use him a a body shield .If this came into the multiplayer section i can see some really interesting strats developing .The rifle did not seem very different to the normal gun-saw version except that it did not have full auto fire except that it seemed to shoot in busts which in itself is not to bad.

The other thing that was quite nice and noticeable was some thing that was talked about in the earlier developer vids is the inclusion of a higher number of enemies on screen at one time.I have to say what i saw in the mid as army of soldiers marched by and were slowly being picked of by the humans really looked awesome in terms of visuals.

I also see that they are using alot more open environments and with this bigger vehicles are being introduced .All this is a much welcome inclusion ,but from the point of a critic there is nothing really interesting being done here that was not already done in another game. While this is true ,from a technical perspective there is alot under the hood that is being done that the player will not notice. From the way they now handle water to the new dynamic lighting they  are supposed to use, it nothing fresh in terms of what we have not seen but rather its fresh in that is will make Gears alot nicer to play.

While i am going to have to wait till the game is released to see if it wil blow my mind away i can definitely from now that i will be getting it with out a doubt .

Open ID in the real world

There is one thing that i need to admit first , i am a minimalist .I like a spartan style of living clean is better, at the same time i dont like to wear to many extra things (jewelery , etc) on my self .But the one thing that i have to carry on me is my wallet.

This is where things get sad , my poor wallet is taking a bit of a strain on the amount of things that it can carry. Besides some cash i have to carry my license and my half a dozen shop cards. While i would like to leave these cards at home i tend to need them when i least expect, so i end up keeping them on me at all times. This contributes to the biggest strain on my wallet.

What i would like to see is some thing like open ID but in the real world , so all the company’s that offer some kind of shop card need to get together and decide on a common card. Yes for payments you can currently use a credit card but alot of these places do not offer benefits if you pay with a credit card. They expect you to pay with their card then pay your account later at some time.

The advantage of the Open ID card is that it would have a centralized Activator. As soon i join a new stores scheme i get activation code from them which is then activated on my open ID card and i now have access to there benefits with out the needs to carry a 100 cards with me when shopping.

I would imagine that the amount of data that could be mined from such a situation would definitely benefit all party’s .

So who shall join me in this revolution against .

State Of this world

If this is the world we a living in i fear it may not be the place i want to live it .So sad to see how young these kids are really sad. I could not get the english version of the site to work , if someone does let me know what the article is about pls
