Between a hard rock and the deep blue sea
So the other during a game of COD 4 the guys came up with a interesting argument and i thought i would share it here and see what more people think about it.
The Scene :
You are playing a COD 4 multi player match (Team Death Match), its on a competitive level but the current match is just a friendly match against a rival team. Winning and loosing is not a big issue (but we all like to win :) ).
The Argument :
The enemy has a player that is either camping or using a noob tube (the mounted grenade launcher) and is clearly spoiling the fun in the match but clearly causing the other team to win due to points. The said player is constantly doing the same thing over and over again (camping or tubing) .
The Result :
Do you do the same as the enemy team so that you can win , or do you hunt down that player only and make their life hell till they change. Also which person do you hate more , i personally hate the tuber more since the camper can be slowly flushed out once you find the spot they camp from. The tuber is just damn annoying.

The Noob Tube is the ultimate in irritation and yes:
a) almost every new player starts with this as it’s easy to get kills with (requires almost no skill/strat)
and doesn’t require a lot of aiming
b) every other player absolutely HATES the noobtube because there aren’t really a counter and instagib on cod4 just sux as it’s not what the game’s about.
If you play noobtube, you become a type of player that can only play with it and it really degrades your cod4 skills (precision aiming & strategy) Believe me, play noobtube for a week and then try and go back to normal play is gonna be tough, you’re shooting yourself in the foot with that stupid thing (and sometimes in the face)
With camping, I hate people complaining about camping, this is cod4 not UT… :/ in war you have to ‘take cover’ it’s part of how you *must* play the game.
But yes, camping like sitting in a corner of a room with a shotgun is pretty annoying, but in cod4, a camper like that will NOT get more avg kills. To counter a camper like that you should just play a ‘safer’ came (get people to cover each other and move from cover to cover for example and check corners) Most people play cod4 with lone wolf style and running into firefights instead of how it should be played and campers will gain more from that style.
A sniping camper is part of the game and there is nothing wrong with it. Although not my style at all! :P
Anyway, that was my vent & 2cents.
Thats right let it all out , just remember i charge by the character.
But yeah that was the general feeling by all the guys on our team.
The difference that i see with campers is that its alot easier to deal with them when there is team work , on the PC i see very little of this in public servers (where these beasts prey), on the 360 team work comes almost by default since just about every one has a mike and talks to each other.
