So android market for the SA has finally been released , i am not sure when they meant to tell us but anyway when i checked yesterday the update was available.

And all i can say is YAY , i cant believe that i managed to survive up till now with out the market. The ease of use is just outstanding and there is just sooooooo many applications. Which brings me to my next problem , with all the apps out there its hard to find the best of the best , while the apps do have comments on each of them its just not the same as someone recommending a app to you.

So now begins the experimental phase in which i hope to find the best apps for android. I know @Rathlan said that he will try and do a monthly or weekly post with best apps for android which i cant wait for now :) .

So if you have any suggestions please let me know.

These days its hard to find people that have not fallen to the GPS craze , with all the specials going on these days every second car that is on the road has a GPS device wither built in or attached to the windscreen.

Unfortunately one small little fact that people fail to realize is that we live in South Africa. Due to the high rate of crime chances of getting hijacked are very high these days. What more can a hijacker ask for when he is hijacking you than a map to your house.

Consider this , when hijacked the average person has most of their possessions taken away .Now that you have had your keys stolen your car taken away and most of the time your cell phone as well. All the hijacker needs to do then is follow the GPS all the way to your house and help them selves to more of your possessions.

So just a few points to note.

Never attach your car keys to the house keys.

Never leave your home address marked as a place on your GPS , if you have to name it some thing else.

Try to keep your cell phone on you and not in the car’s cubby or some place that if hijacked will result in you loosing the phone

While this not a exhaustive list please keep them in mind and stay safe.
Always remember better safe than sorry.
